בקלוסטר, כמה דקות צפונית לטנפליי, הובאתי לבית חדש לגמרי עם קירות לבנים, רצפת אלון בלוחות רחבים ושום דבר על הקירות. המשימה הייתה לתת לאדריכלות יותר אופי ולעיצוב הפנים יותר עומק. בניתי את האוסף חדר אחר חדר עם גלריות מובילות בניו יורק, הפגשתי עבודות של אמנים יהודים וישראלים עם קולות עכשוויים אחרים, וניהלתי את הצפיות, המשא ומתן, המשלוח, המסגור וההתקנה. לפרויקט בקלוסטר.

What an art consultant does for a Tenafly home
Most calls start with one wall: the space above a sofa, a stair hall that feels empty, a dining room that is finished except for the art. Some start with a whole house, new or renovated, where nothing has been hung yet. Either way the work follows the same steps, sized to the project.

I can see a wall at a different time of day, meet a builder at the house on short notice, or come back to check a hanging height once the furniture has arrived. Manhattan's galleries are a short drive across the George Washington Bridge, so viewings in the city fit into the same week as the site visits.
Local art life is part of the job too. A project nearby: a new house in Closter
In Closter, a few minutes north of Tenafly, I was brought into a newly built house with white walls, wide plank oak floors and nothing on the walls. The brief was to give the architecture more character and the interior design more depth. I built the collection room by room with leading New York City galleries, bringing works by Jewish and Israeli artists together with other contemporary voices, and I managed the viewings, negotiation, shipping, framing and installation. My background
I have spent more than 15 years in the art world. I hold an M.A. in art history from Ben-Gurion University and a diploma in curatorial and museum studies from Tel Aviv University. Before THEODORA I did curatorial work in established museums and managed a gallery in Tel Aviv.
