For years I designed art concepts and built tailor made contemporary art collections for luxury hospitality groups: premium hotels, exclusive resorts and large cruise ships. המלונאות לימדה אותי לעבוד בקנה מידה גדול בלי לאבד את היצירה הבודדת. אוסף של מלון נפרש על פני לובי, ברים, חדרי אורחים ודירות מגורים, מול תאריך פתיחה ותקציב מאושר. כל פריט עדיין חייב להיות נכון לקיר שלו.
עבודות פיסוליות ללובי. הלובי הוא הדבר הראשון שאורח רואה והחלל היחיד שכל אורח עובר דרכו. עבודה שם צריכה להחזיק נפח גדול ולהיקרא ממרחק, ופיסול עושה את זה באופן שעבודה שטוחה כמעט לא מסוגלת.
בר עם פסיפס סוסים, חדרי האורחים, ודירות המגורים. שלושה בריפים שונים בנכס אחד. בר רוצה מחווה אחת בלתי נשכחת. חדרי אורחים רוצים עקביות על פני קירות דומים רבים. דירות מגורים רוצות תחושה של אוסף פרטי.
אמנות למסעדות ולתאי הנוסעים באוניות Holland America Line, ועבודה עבור Costa Cruises. אונייה היא מלון שזז. את האמנות צריך לתכנן לתנועה ולתחלופה מתמדת של אורחים, ושעדיין תרגיש מחושבת בכל מסעדה ובכל תא.
לקוחות ושותפים נוספים כוללים גם את Four Seasons, Rosewood Hotels and Resorts, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Accor, Carnival, Guesty, Eagle Hills ומלונות קבוצת Mandarin.

Hospitality taught me to work at scale without losing the individual work. A hotel collection runs across lobbies, bars, guest rooms and residences, against an opening date and an approved budget. Every piece still has to be right for its wall.
Sculptural works for the lobby. A lobby is the first thing a guest sees and the one space every guest passes through. Work there has to hold a large volume and read from a distance, and sculpture does that in a way flat work rarely can.
A bar with a horse mosaic, the guest rooms, and the residences. Three different briefs in one property. A bar wants one memorable gesture. Guest rooms want consistency across many similar walls. Residences want the feeling of a private collection.
Restaurant and stateroom art for Holland America Line ships, and work for Costa Cruises. A ship is a hotel that moves. The art has to be planned for motion and for a constant turnover of guests, and still feel considered in every restaurant and every stateroom.
