Fresh Paint opens today, one of the art events I love most and look forward to every year. This year the fair marks its 14th edition, and it continues to be one of the most intriguing and influential events in the Israeli art and design field.

As someone who has been following the art world for years, one of the things I love most about Fresh Paint is the chance to discover Israeli artists who are not yet on every radar. More than once I have met artists there at the very start of their careers, and then, a few years later, seen them showing in leading galleries, museums, and private collections. For me, that is one of the reasons this fair remains so relevant and exciting after so many years.

Beyond the works themselves, Fresh Paint is a place where you can feel the pulse of the local scene, see what is occupying artists today, which materials and ideas are taking hold, and how art responds to the reality around it. Alongside contemporary art you will also find design, special projects, social initiatives, and collaborations that expand the conversation beyond the gallery walls.
