For the Tel Aviv home of singer and actress Roni Daloomi, I selected three artworks by two contemporary Israeli artists: joyful, minimalist pieces that reflect her optimistic spirit. Visual candy, in two words.לביתה בתל אביב של הזמרת והשחקנית רוני דלומי בחרתי שלוש עבודות של שני אמנים ישראלים עכשוויים: יצירות שמחות ומינימליסטיות שמשקפות את הרוח האופטימית שלה. ממתק חזותי, בשתי מילים.
רוני דלומי היא זמרת ושחקנית, והבית שלה בתל אביב נראה כמוה: וילונות שקופים שמעבירים את האור, צמחים במרפסת, קלידים ליד החלון עם שרפרף לאימונים, מטבח עם ספסל ישיבה ורוד ואי שחור. שום דבר בו לא רשמי. אמנות לבית כזה לא יכולה להיות חמורת סבר, והיא גם לא יכולה להיות קישוט. היא צריכה את אותה אנרגיה כמו האדם.
עבודות שמתאימות לאופטימיות שלה בלי להפוך את הדירה לגלריה. שמחות, קלילות, מינימליות מספיק כדי להשאיר לחדרים אוויר לנשום, ומיידיות מספיק כדי להבין אותן בלי טקסט קיר. שום דבר כבד, שום דבר שצריך להסביר לאורח.
שלוש עבודות של שני אמנים ישראלים עכשוויים. שתיים מהן חולקות שפה: דמויות זעירות פזורות על רקע בהיר וכמעט ריק, מתרחצים ושחיינים מלמעלה, ואחת מהן תלויה ליד הקלידים שבהם היא מתאמנת. השלישית, ליד המטבח, היא ההפך בצפיפות: חזית בניין שנשברת לכתמי צבע בהירים, כולה גיאומטריה ושמש. יחד הן מה שאני קוראת לו ממתק חזותי: מתוק, מיידי, ואי אפשר לעבור לידו בלי לחייך. הן משקפות אותה, וזאת כל הנקודה בהכנסת אמנות לבית.
שיחה על מי היא ואיך היא חיה, ואז רשימה קצרה של אמנים שהעבודה שלהם נושאת את הקלילות הזאת. את הבחירה הסופית אני עושה בבית עצמו, שם האור עושה את העריכה האחרונה, וזה נכון בכל פרויקט. אחר כך מסגור והתקנה, כשכל עבודה מוצבת במקום שרואים אותה כל יום ולא שומרים אותה לאורחים. זה הסדר שאני עובדת בו בכל בית: קודם האדם, אחר כך האמן, ורק אז הקיר.

Roni Daloomi is a singer and actress, and her Tel Aviv home looks like her: sheer curtains that let the light through, plants on the balcony, a keyboard by the window with a stool for practice, a kitchen with a pink banquette and a black island. Nothing in it is formal. Art for a home like this cannot be solemn, and it cannot be decoration either. It has to have the same energy as the person.
Works that match her optimism without turning the apartment into a gallery. Joyful, light on their feet, minimal enough to leave the rooms breathing, and immediate enough to be understood without a wall text. Nothing heavy, nothing that needs explaining to a guest.
Three artworks by two contemporary Israeli artists. Two of them share a language: tiny figures scattered across a pale, almost empty ground, sunbathers and swimmers seen from above, and one of them hangs beside the keyboard where she practices. The third, near the kitchen, is the opposite in density: a building facade broken into bright patches of color, all geometry and sun. Together they are what I call visual candy: sweet, immediate, impossible to walk past without smiling. They reflect her, which is the whole point of putting art in a home.
A conversation about who she is and how she lives, then a short list of artists whose work carries that lightness. I make the final choice in the home itself, where the light does the last edit, and that is true on every project. Framing and installation followed, with each work placed where it is seen every day rather than saved for guests. That is the order I work in on every home: person first, then artist, then wall.
